The Jill Tube Chair is the first collaboration between Alfredo Haberli and Vitra. The design is inspired by the early days of laminate wood shaping and it re-explores the limets of this technology.
Whilst paying homage to the early design in plywood moulding Haberli has moved the aesthetic forward to today - incorporating the state of the art in plywood technology in an organically shaped seat shell. Using a patented process, the chairs veneers are curved until they meet in the middle of the seat creating an open, flexible shell. This flexible shell creates a sculptural form which follows the contours of the body and accommodates it with remarkable comfort.
The Jill chair is available in various wooden seat finishes with legs in either a chrome or 'basic dark' powder coated finish.
