A new way of life brings new challenges within every home, the first one being we are now nearly all working from home as well as homeschooling our children at various levels. So although the challenges that this brings us is specific to each family; the one we all experience is how we can re-organise our home and minds to accommodate all the varying needs throughout the day - a quiet room for meetings or calls, a school classroom and a home office; whilst not forgetting the overlying requirement for organisation, planning and experiencing much-needed downtime.

Hans J. Wegner, undoubtedly one of the most original and influential furniture designers Denmark has ever produced, is having a renascence thanks to iconic furniture manufacturer Carl Hansen & sons.
The classic 1950 lounge chair was Hans J. Wenger’s first in a series of designs that reflected his gift of distilling a construction down to its very essence whist delivering character and style. We were delighted to be joined by Exeter Cookery School for an exciting pre-launch evening. The brainchild of Jim and Lucy Fisher, Exeter Cookery School is set to open it's doors later this year in a Grade II Listed building on the city’s historic Quayside.
Heading up the cooking, Jim was first inspired to cook in his early teens by watching 70s food icon Margueritte Patten, so much so that he created a three-course meal for his family at the age of just 13.

Mark has been shortlisted for the 2014 Designer Kitchen and Bathroom awards for a kitchen he designed for a waterside Torquay Home. Mark’s design is in the ‘Ultimate Luxury Kitchen Design Of The Year’ category and he will attend the finals in London’s Embankment Gardens on November 12.
Mark is delighted to have made the finals of Designer Magazine’s prestigious awards and said
“It is normally London-based companies that are shortlisted so it is hugely exciting that we are on it. There have also been an unprecedented number of entries this year so that is even more encouraging.”
