Designed by Alvar Aalto 1933
The stackable stool 60 represents the epitome of functionalist furniture design. The simple idea behind this iconic stool is based on three bent legs and a round seat. The secret of the stool´s success lies in its legs´unique bends that eventually became the distinctive feature of all Aalto furniture. Stools are perfect extra chairs, easily stackable as a beautiful tower when they are not needed. At the same time, the stool can be used as a small side table.
Ethics, aesthetics and ecological values are the essential elements in the creation of every product that bears the Artek name. Alvar Aalto is recognized today as one of the great masters of modern architecture.
The stool is also manufactured in a four-legged version (E60 version).
